TOM PETTY CATALOG ROCKS WITH WARNER CHAPPELL

Tom Petty's estate has inked a worldwide admin deal with Warner Chappell Music for "the vast majority" of the songs written by the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer for both the Heartbreakers and solo recording projects.

Among the legendary cuts covered by the agreement are "Wildflowers," "Free Fallin'," "Learning To Fly," "Refugee," "Here Comes My Girl," "I Won't Back Down," "The Waiting," "Don't Come Around Here No More," "Mary Jane's Last Dance" and "Runnin' Down a Dream."

Petty died in 2017 at the age of 66.

"We're looking forward to this new partnership with the team at Warner Chappell as we expand the reach of Tom's iconic song catalog," the Petty estate said in a statement. "This partnership will open the door to new licensing opportunities and serve to introduce his music to a new generation across the globe."

The Petty estate has overseen a number of archival releases since the artist's death, including the four-disc Live at the Fillmore 1997. A star-studded Big Machine Records tribute album, Petty Country: A Country Music Celebration of Tom Petty, was released on 6/21.
