Kendrick Lamar has announced a surprise Juneteenth concert, "The Pop Out: Ken & Friends," taking place at The Forum on 6/19. Presented by pgLang and Free Lunch, the AEG event functions as a CashApp exclusive, with pre-sales beginning Thursday (6/6). General onsale begins the next day (6/7) at 10am PT.
The announcement follows Kendrick's highly publicized battle with Drake. The weeks-long lyrical ping-pong resulted in two #1s for K. Dot: "Not Like Us" and the beef catalyst, Future & Metro Boomin's "Like That" f/Kendrick. In fact, the former is still #4 at Spotify U.S. and #1 on Apple Music. The video alone has collected more than 72m YouTube views.
With the renewed interest in all things K. Dot, tickets to "The Pop Out" will likely sell out fast. Fortunately, the folks at Amazon Music will also livestream the event for those unable to land tickets. The concert will air live on Prime Video and the Amazon Music channel on Twitch. The show is scheduled to begin at 4pm PT, so maybe even us old people can make it, you know, since dinner isn't until 5pm. Find tickets here.
