SPAMPANATO GETS VENUE SVP STRIPES AT AEG

AEG Presents has elevated Nick Spampanato to CEO Venues, expanding on his prior role as SVP of Venue Operations. The Los Angeles-based exec will oversee business and operations for AEG's 50 owned and operated venues and report to newly named president, North American Regional Offices, Brent Fedrizzi.

"It goes without saying that our venues are a vital part of the live-event ecosystem," said Spampanato, who came to AEG after 10 years working at such MSG Entertainment venues as New York's Beacon Theatre and Los Angeles' Kia Forum. "Getting my hands in there and making a difference in how they run has always been what drew me to this business."

Fedrizzi said Spampanato's "track record speaks for itself," adding, "He’s got an institutional knowledge of venue management at every level, from clubs and theaters all the way up to arenas. Nick has a clear vision of how to effectively manage our portfolio of venues and how to propel the business forward."

Spampanato got his start in our silly biz in 1992 while working at the dearly departed Universal Amphitheatre and also served as GM of the Hollywood Palladium.
