Warner Chappell Music has partnered with BandLab Technologies’ ReverbNation, a "global destination for artists to launch their careers and build meaningful connections," bringing music-publishing services to its songwriters, artists and digital creators, including WCM’s suite of creative, A&R and support offerings.
WCM will administer music rights for ReverbNation creators who sign up for the new ReverbNation Publishing program. The companies will work together to sign singer-songwriters on the ReverbNation platform as part of the new joint venture.
“Songwriters and artists are now being discovered through a multitude of different digital platforms in what I call the ‘new songwriter economy,’” said WCM CEO/co-Chair Guy Moot. “Joining forces with BandLab Technologies allows us to tap into the incredible creator community they’ve built and help support and amplify the voices of promising up-and-coming talent.”
BandLab CEO/co-founder Meng Ru Kuok explained, “This partnership not only unlocks additional potential avenues for artistic development and innovation, it bridges the gap between emerging talent and established industry platforms, allowing a new generation of artists to find their voice and place in a continuously adapting and expanding landscape.”
