After releasing her last six studio albums through RCA Nashville, Miranda Lambert has signed with Republic Records in a deal that includes Country radio promotion and marketing support from Seth England’s Big Loud Records. Lambert and longtime collaborator Jon Randall launched Big Loud Texas with Big Loud last fall.
The first musical fruit of the Republic partnership is the single "Wranglers," which will be released 5/3 with an album to follow. "Music is and always will be the thing that drives me, but having a new home has given me a hunger I didn’t realize I still had inside me," said Lambert, who added that "Monte Lipman and his team fire me up!"
With that visual in mind and given that Lambert has scored more than a dozen Top 10 Country hits, we'd suggest grabbing your nearest fire extinguisher once "Wranglers" is out in the world.
"Signing with Republic has inspired me to find the sweet spot for me and all the people like me," she said. "I can’t wait for everyone to hear ‘Wranglers’ and the rest of this record.”
Lambert will co-headline the Stagecoach festival on the Coachella grounds at Empire Polo Field outside Palm Springs, California, on Saturday (4/27). At her last visit to the event, in 2015, she delivered a set packed with fan favorites and covers of tunes by ZZ Top, Mountain and Merle Haggard.
