Amusement/Island’s Chappell Roan—with a brand-new song blowing up, coming off a monthlong stint on Olivia Rodrigo’s GUTS World Tour and heading straight into two weeks in the desert at Coachella—is ready for her moment. Fans are also prepared for Roan's rise, judging by the action on “Good Luck Babe!,” the pop act’s first new cut since her debut LP, The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess, dropped last September.
Released on 4/5, “Good Luck, Babe!”—co-written by Justin Tranter and produced by longtime collaborator Dan Nigro—is making its way up Spotify’s U.S. chart, reaching a career peak of #28 on 4/9. Album standout “Red Wine Supernova” is also reaching new heights (#83) on the Spot’s U.S. chart, further cementing fans’ investment in Roan’s artistry.
The Nick Bobetsky-repped Roan's 2024 run has included a campy NPR Tiny Desk Concert on 3/21 and a slew of sold-out U.S. headlining dates this summer, with buzz building in Europe for her fall tour there. Roan moved 10k tickets in the initial on-sale for her London gigs.
Expect more eye-popping moments from Roan as she takes Coachella’s Gobi Stage on Friday of both weekends.
Island co-CEOs Imran Majid and Justin Eshak have been anticipating “The Rise” of this “Midwest Princess” since inking Roan in early 2023.
