DJO'S "BEGINNING" ON THE MOVE
AWAL's Djo has a hit on his hands with "End of Beginning." Will it continue to grow?
AWAL's Djo—better known as Joe Keery from Netflix's Stranger Things—has a major hit on his hands with "End of Beginning." The song is now in the Top 5 at Spotify Global, up three spots to #4. It also hit a new peak on Spotify U.S., landing at #6. TikTok, meanwhile, continues to eat it up. Earlier this week it vaulted to #1, besting Bobby Caldwell’s “What You Won’t Do for Love,” which fell to #2.
Keery, who plays Steve Harrington on the popular sci-fi series, released the song on his sophomore album, 2022's Decide. The Nick Stern-managed artist was spotted at Electric Lady Studios in New York last year presumably working on a follow-up, but his promo availability is now limited due to filming commitments with Stranger Things. However, Keery will present at tomorrow's BRIT Awards—a savvy move considering "End of Beginning" just scored him his first Top 5 hit in the U.K.
