Benson Boone’s "Beautiful Things" (Night Street/Warner) became a viral sensation prior to its 1/18 release and has since evolved into a global phenomenon. In the run-up to its success, Boone and team say, he benefited mightily from Amazon Music's Breakthrough program.
Introduced as a Breakthrough artist in October 2022, Boone is now one of the most listened-to acts on Amazon Music worldwide. The ascent of "Beautiful Things" to the top of DSPs, including Amazon's global and U.S. charts, underscores the program's transformative impact on his career.
Amazon Music's commitment to fostering fan connections and strategic collaborations helped the artist build his foundation. Breakthrough initiatives like City Sessions have provided the Reynolds Management-repped singer-songwriter an intimate performance platform.
A Breakthrough-enabled partnership with F1 Alpine, meanwhile, yielded an exclusive video for Benson's "To Love Someone," showcasing his artistry on a global stage. The Breakthrough Spotlight video, filmed in Boone's hometown of Monroe, Washington, likewise offers fans a glimpse into the soul behind the music, further deepening their connection to BB.
But Amazon Music's support extends far beyond digital content; Breakthrough has also thrown release parties and delivered exclusive merch collabs, among other promotional avenues.
A relationship with Boys & Girls Clubs of America has even helped Boone demonstrate the commitment to community he shares with Amazon Music.
"I had the best time working with everyone at the Amazon Music Breakthrough program,” reads a quote from Boone. “The team believed in me from the start and went all out to bring me closer to my fans. I’ll never forget my EP party at the Berrics in L.A. or going to Mexico City with them for my F1 video.”
“With Breakthrough, our goal is to craft unique and dynamic road maps for each artist, fostering intimate experiences that forge meaningful connections between them and their fans while simultaneously expanding their reach to new audiences,” explains Lexi Cueva, Amazon Music’s artist relations manager. “When collaborating with Benson Boone, we recognized the potential for substantial growth within his die-hard fan base. The events and opportunities we curated together were about capturing moments that showcase the type of artist and person that he is to the world.”
