FLIPOVER FRIDAY: NEW ARRIVALS AT iTUNES & APPLE MUSIC

Rock veterans make a strong showing at iTunes this Flipover Friday as French Montana returns to a series he started back in 2009.

Former Mötley Crüe guitarist Mick Mars leads the way with his solo debut, The Other Side of Mars (1313), at #1, followed by the eighth solo album by former KISS guitarist Ace Frehley, 10,000 Volts (MNRK), at #2. Hard rock continues at the back of the Top 10 with deathcore act Moon Healer’s Job for a Cowboy (Metal Blade) roping in #7 and Amaranthe hitting #10 with its seventh album, The Catalyst (Nuclear Blast).

Rod Stewart turns back the hands of time once again with a tribute to the big-band era with Jools Holland, Swing Fever (Rhino), which jumps and jives at #5.

Montana’s Mac & Cheese 5 (Coke Boys/gamma.) is the only title to land in the Top 10 at iTunes—it’s #9—and the Top 100 at Apple Music.

Elsewhere in the iTunes Top 10, TWICE’s six-track mini-album With You-th (JYP) opens at #4, JJ Grey & Mofro’s Olustee (Alligator) digs in at #6 and MGMT’s Loss of Life (Mom+Pop) stands at #8.

Four new arrivals land in the Top 10 at iTunes, led by LAY & Lauv’s “Run Back to You” (Zhang Yixing) at #2.

Tucker Wetmore's “Wine Into Whiskey” (Back Blocks) bellies up to #3, Selena Gomez’s “Love On” (Interscope) has the #6 slot and Justin Timberlake’s “Drown” (RCA) floats to #8.
