Sony Latin will release Shakira’s first album in seven years, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, on 3/22. She’s making a big leap into vinyl as well.
Her 12th album overall, the 16 tracks are divided between eight new ones, a remix, and seven previously released singles, among them Latin Grammy-winner “Music Sessions Vol. 53” with Bizarrap, “TQG” with Karol G and “Te Felicito” with Rauw Alejandro. The seven previously released tracks have a combined total of 3.7b plays on Spotify.
The new album will be her first release on vinyl, featuring four distinct artwork editions with exclusive colored vinyl variants. The Sapphire edition will be exclusively offered on Amazon; the Ruby edition will be available at Target. Fans can find the Emerald edition exclusively on Shakira's official website, and the Diamond edition will be stocked by all major retailers.
Shakira gave a philosophical take on the new set. "Making this body of work has been an alchemical process. While writing each song I was rebuilding myself. While singing them, my tears transformed into diamonds, and my vulnerability into strength."
Our tears, meanwhile, are worthless.
