USHER'S STAR-STUDDED SUPER BOWL SURPRISES

USHER's "My Way–The Vegas Residency" was a smash. On Sunday (2/11) he returned to Sin City for one of the biggest performances of his career: the Apple Music Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show.

The spectacle opened with the Ron Laffitte-managed star in blinding white flanked by dozens of dancers, contortionists and stilt walkers, not to mention a marching band, making it more like a carnival than a concert. He began with a medley of his biggest hits, including "Caught Up," "U Don't Have To Call," "Superstar," "Burn" and "U Got It Bad."

The camera soon panned to previously announced guest Alicia Keys, all in red and playing a red piano, for a rendition of 2004's "My Boo." Jermaine Dupri then hopped onstage to introduce "Confessions" as USHER channeled Michael Jackson with one glittery glove.

Elements of his Vegas residency creeped into the set, with USHER strapping on roller skates to join H.E.R., will.i.am and a brigade of roller-derby skaters. Lil Jon made a surprise appearance for "Turn Down for What" and, of course, "Yeah!", which included a verse from Ludacris.

USHER's Live Nation-promoted Past Present Future Tour began presales last week and goes wide Monday (2/12). The multifaceted entertainer's new album, COMING HOME (mega/gamma.), is currently #1 at iTunes.
