DEAD & COMPANY CONFIRM SPHERE SHOWS, AND WE'RE ALREADY HALLUCINATING: UPDATE

UPDATE: The Dead & Company residency at Sphere, "Dead Forever," will consist of 18 shows from 5/16 to 6/22. The band will play Thursday-Saturday with the exception of 5/24-26 (Memorial Day weekend), when they'll take the stage Sunday instead of Thursday. Each weekend’s three performances will feature unique set lists and “never-before-seen visual storytelling.”

The presale will begin Monday (2/5). Registration is now open.

Previously, we wrote: An Instagram post from Dead & Company appears to confirm longstanding rumors that Bob Weir, John Mayer and company will be bringing their multifaceted musical carnival to Sphere in Las Vegas. Though the band officially stopped touring last year, apparently a residency is still in the cards. No dates have yet been floated, but the venue's extraordinary tech and the band's expansive, often very psychedelic repertoire seems like a dream pairing. Indeed, thinking about the visuals that might accompany, say, "China Cat Sunflower" has us tripping balls in anticipation.

Irving Azoff declined to comment, but the pastrami sandwich he was holding appeared to turn into a unicorn.
