Jon Bon Jovi has joined the Pollstar Live! conference as part of a panel appropriately dubbed "How To See a Million Faces and Rock Them All." The feathery-haired New Jersey rocker will appear 2/7 at the event, where he'll also be honored with the Milestone Award in recognition of Bon Jovi's 40th anniversary.
Pollstar Live! will be held 2/6-8 at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles. In addition an appearance from L.A. Clippers Chairman Steve Ballmer and Pearl Jam’s Jeff Ament on a panel discussing the construction of the Intuit Dome, the confab will cover topics such as “Golden Era 3.0: How Long will This Boom Last (And What Can We Do to Sustain)?,” “Booking/Artist Development: Names To Watch,” “Where to Go and When: Developing the Global Touring Strategy” and “How Will AI Change Live for Booking, Marketing, Operations & Risk Management.” We recommend quaffing a thermos of espresso for some of these.
It will be a busy couple of weeks for Bon Jovi, who will receive MusiCares' 2024 Person of the Year award at the org's annual benefit gala, 2/2 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
The performance lineup for the event has yet to be announced, but Team Pollstar has been advised that at least one HITS staffer does a pretty good karaoke rendition of "Bad Medicine," if by "pretty good" you mean "causes ears to bleed."
