MILEY, PESO PLUMA LEAD 2023 SOUNDEXCHANGE TALLIES

Miley Cyrus' "Flowers" is #1 on SoundExchange's 2023 Top 20 Tracks roundup, a chart based on non-interactive streaming data from the more than 3,600 DSPs from which the company collects and distributes royalties. (Non-interactive streaming is the equivalent of an online radio service, where you can't choose what songs are played next.)

SZA's "Kill Bill" and Beyoncé's "Cuff It" are #2 and #3, respectively, while other familiar names in the upper reaches of the list include Taylor Swift, Sam Smith and Kim Petras, Meghan Trainor and Luke Combs.

Meanwhile, SoundExchange's Top 20 Breakout Creators list reflects the "first significant streaming activity" from newer acts, "fueled by strong debuts or career highlight releases that connected with wider audiences." Peso Pluma clocks in at #1 here, followed by Fifty Fifty, Austin Snell, 070 Shake and Lu Kala.
