Sony Music Korea/RCA’s ATEEZ lands at #1 on the HITS Top 50 for the first time with THE WORLD EP.FIN : WILL. The 12-track set opens with 140k as the octet joins Stray Kids and NewJeans in the elite club of K-pop acts to top the album chart in 2023. ATEEZ’s WORLD EP debuted at #2 in June.
Republic, meanwhile, has six titles in the Top 10, three of which belong to Taylor Swift; 1989 (Taylor’s Version) is out front at #2. Drake’s For All the Dogs (OVO) and Morgan Wallen’s One Thing at a Time (Big Loud/Mercury) are #3 and #4, respectively, while scorching-hot Best New Artist nominee Noah Kahan leaps to #8 with Stick Season (Mercury) following his electrifying performance on Saturday Night Live.
Michael Bublé’s Christmas (Reprise) and Nat King Cole’s Christmas Song (Capitol) lead holiday titles, with a presence in the Top 10. Seasonal juggernauts Mariah Carey, Pentatonix, Phil Spector and the Vince Guaraldi Trio hang stockings in the Top 20.
Streeting this week are new titles by Young Money/Republic’s Nicki Minaj, RCA’s Tate McRae, Reprise’s Neil Young and Glizzy Gvng/Encore’s YOVNGCHIMI, as well as a greatest-hits collection from Island’s The Killers.
