Former Avex USA SVP Lucas Thomashow has launched SANA, a Los Angeles joint venture with Todd Moscowitz and Lee L'Heureux's artist- and label-services company Santa Anna and indie label LISTEN TO THE KIDS.
SANA will provide distribution, marketing and promotion via Santa Anna and undertake strategy and label development in collaboration with LISTEN TO THE KIDS’ A&R and marketing teams.
Thomashow will also expand into management and publishing as part of SANA, capitalizing on his tenure at Avex, where he founded the frontline label SELENE and led strategy and operations, helping build out the S10 publishing JV.
Moscowitz and L'Heureux said in a joint statement, "Lucas has an entrepreneurial mindset and we're impressed by everything he's built at Avex. We're excited about partnering with SANA."
Added Ambrose, "Lucas' outside-the-box thinking and original approach to the music industry make him an incredible partner for us to build a new label with."
Said Thomashow, "I'm extremely excited to be partnering with two amazing labels and teams. Todd and Lee are building something very unique with Santa Anna; their team inspires us by how strategically and quickly they move. And [LISTEN TO THE KIDS CEO] Conor [Ambrose] runs an innovative organization whose ideals align with SANA’s philosophy."
