Interscope Miami has plenty to be thankful for this week.
Ivan Cornejo, an up-and-coming star of sierreño—which Spotify calls "folk music from Mexico’s northern mountain region best known for nostalgic ballads performed with acoustic guitars"—is wrapping his sold-out U.S. Terapia Tour with an 11/22 homecoming show at the 11,000-seat Toyota Arena in Ontario, California, his biggest headlining performance yet. Also on Thanksgiving Eve, new signees Gabito Ballesteros and Chino Pacas are taking over the downtown L.A. Peacock Theater.
On Friday (11/24), there will be even more activity emanating from the IGA imprint; KAROL G & Kali Uchis will drop their hotly anticipated collab "Labios Moridos" and música Mexicana sensation Grupo Marca Registrada tap Grupo Firme and Joaquin Medina for "ONTAS BB."
Commented Interscope Miami boss Nir Seroussi, "It's all gravy."
NEAR TRUTHS: EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED
