The Marvels (Disney) posted a $47m opening weekend, the smallest such tally for any of the 33 films in the Marvel franchise. Internationally, the film brought in $63.3m for a worldwide debut of $110m.

The Marvels was the only major premiere of the weekend.

Continuing to impress in its fifth week, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour took its box-office total to $172.5m in North America and $240.9m globally.

  1. The Marvels (Disney): $47m total; 4,030 screens/$11,662 average per screen (Debut)
  2. Five Nights at Freddy’s (Universal): $9m total; 3,694 screens/$2,436 average per screen (Week 3)
  3. Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (AMC): $5.9m total; 2,848 screens/$2,071 average per screen (Week 5)
  4. Priscilla (A24): $4.79m total; 2,361 screens/$2,029 average per screen (Week 3)
  5. Killers of the Flower Moon (Paramount): $4.65m total; 3,357 screens/$1,385 average per screen (Week 5)
