SWIFT'S LATEST VERSION: GIGANTIC OR MASSIVE?

Taylor Swift proves once again with 1989 (Taylor’s Version) (Republic) that it’s her world and we just live here. After one day of sales and streams, we can project a first-week total of 1.45-1.55m. This includes more than 400m projected streams, for an SEA of 300-350k. 1989 (TV) will become Swift's sixth album to debut north of 1m.

The original 1989 bowed with 1.29m in 2014. Swift’s most recent album to open with 1m+ was 2022’s Midnights, which debuted with 1.59m. Will 1989 (TV) surpass Midnights and give Swift her all-time-biggest first week? What might she have up her sleeve to make that happen? Watch this space.
