R&B rookie of the year Coco Jones, who's enjoyed some serious Grammy BNA buzz of late, joins team members to celebrate the platinum certification of her hit "ICU" (High Standardz/Def Jam) at a high-spirited Hollywood gathering. Many delicious martinis, cosmos, lemon drops and gimlets followed (courtesy of sponsor Grey Goose); rumors that a HITS staffer sneaked into the event and poured a drink into her purse to enjoy later couldn't be confirmed at press time. Seen just before ordering another round of proprietary Cocotinis are (l-r) High Standardz' Leslie Rosales, Def Jam EVP/CCO Archie Davis, High Standardz CEO Jeremy "J Dot" Jones, Coco Jones, 10q Management's Lydia Asrat, Def Jam CEO Tunji Balogun and Def Jam Senior Director, Marketing Sharon Bako.
Coco has been on tour in support of her debut EP, What I Didn't Tell You; she'll embark on a new East Coast leg in November and her first-ever European dates in December. We, meanwhile, have been touring our freezer for any remaining vodka. We coulda sworn we had some of those little airplane bottles.
