At 21, Galactic/Republic breakthrough Lil Tecca is solidifying his status as a career artist. Third studio album TEC is his fourth consecutive Top 15 debut on the HITS Top 50; it opened at #11 with 40k units on 9/29, making it one of the year’s top rap debuts. Meanwhile, "Ransom," Tecca's 2019 smash, is currently at 1.2b+ streams on Spotify and has been certified quadruple platinum.

Galactic was formed by Lil Tecca and manager Giuseppe Zappala (pictured at left), who's been his partner since his 2019 debut. Zappala says of the artist's approach to TEC and its setup, “For probably the first time in his career, Tecca was extremely hands-on throughout the creative process. He was intentional in the album track list, he creative-directed visuals for the project and he didn’t shy away from promo—all of these steps activated his base and new fans in different ways.”

Tecca currently has a TEC hit on his hands with “500lbs,” which has reached #17 on the Spotify U.S. Top 50, with strong metrics at TikTok and Apple Music.

During his meteoric rise, Tecca has stayed true to his artistry, relying on neither viral tracks nor collaborations to remain relevant. Instead, he's simply released cohesive projects that now add up to a healthy catalog.

To what does he owe this success? “When fans listen to me, I think they see themselves," he ventures. "They see someone who's gone through what they’ve been through or are going through. I want to be proof that it’s possible to overcome any trial or tribulation. I’m going to keep my chin up, so you keep your chin up. It’s not a facade either; it’s Tec.”
