TURIZO TOUR HAS PLAQUE ATTACK

At his headlining stop in Miami on 10/6, Manuel Turizo was surprised by Sony Latin brass, including President, U.S. Alex Gallardo, GM Esteban Geller, VP of Marketing Isabel Feria and Director of Artist Relations & Marketing Micheline Medina. Manager Juan Diego Medina was also on hand.

The RIAA Latin certifications were awarded for global smash "La Bachata" (a whopping 21-times platinum), "El Merengue" w/Marshmello (sextuple platinum), "Copa Vacia" w/Shakira (double platinum) and his album 2000 (double platinum).

Turizo's performance at the James L. Knight Center featured guest appearances by Marshmello, Mau y Ricky, Piso 21 and Moffa.

During the plaque presentation, Gallardo congratulated Turizo in front of the capacity crowd and did his best to control the urge to showcase his bachata and merengue moves onstage.
