LATIN GRAMMY PREVIEW: JUANES

With 25 trophies, Juanes is among the artists most frequently honored by the Latin Recording Academy. He will always be a contender in any category he’s nominated in. He's earned three nominations for 2023 Latin Grammys.

The Colombian rocker scored an Album of the Year nod for Vida Cotidiana (Universal Music Latino), of which he just released a deluxe version. The project, which finds him examining his role as a husband and father, is Juanes’ most personal yet. He maintains the guitar-driven foundation he’s built his career on, as showcased in Best Rock Song nominee “Gris,” which transitions seamlessly from dreamy, pristine arpeggiation to urgent power chords. Vida Cotidiana was also nominated for Best Pop/Rock Album.

Having arrived with a Best New Artist win in 2001, Juanes has not secured a Latin Grammy since 2021—could 2023 mark his return to the winner’s circle?
