LATIN GRAMMY PREVIEW: MARIA BECERRA

Argentine breakout Maria Becerra made huge strides in 2023, including inking a deal with Warner Music Latina. She's scored four Latin Grammy nominations, her biggest haul yet. “Amigos,” her collaboration with Pablo Alborán, earned a nod for Song of the Year, and Becerra racked up three noms in the Urban field.

The former Best New Artist nominee is up for Best Urban/Fusion Performance for “Ojalá” and Best Reggaeton Song for “Automatico,” standout tracks from her sophomore LP, LA NENA DE ARGENTINA. “Automatico” is also nominated for Best Urban Song.

Becerra comes into the 2023 Latin Grammys as one of the hottest urbano artists in the world. She topped Argentina’s Spotify chart this summer with “Corazon Vacio” and all-star collaboration “Los del Espacio,” both of which also cracked the global Top 100. She just dropped another high-profile collab, “ASI ES LA VIDA” w/Enrique Iglesias.

Becerra’s got the visibility and credibility to warrant multiple trophies this season.
