NEW RELEASE: DRAKE'S FOR ALL THE DOGS HAS A BIG BITE

Drake's For All the Dogs (OVO/Republic) is trending toward a first week of 400-450k after its initial weekend, with streams making up most of that figure. After several delays, the album was finally released on Friday (10/6) at 6am, hours after the weekly DSP turnover.

The later release means today's projection could be low. Regardless, For All the Dogs is likely the fourth-biggest debut of 2023.

Republic has three of the four, with Taylor Swift's Speak Now (Taylor's Version) leading the year at 716k and Morgan Wallen's One Thing at a Time (Big Loud/Mercury/Republic) at #2 with 501k. Cactus Jack/Epic's Travis Scott is #3 with UTOPIA, at 477k.

As for us, we're celebrating October's Very Own with copious amounts of Halloween candy. We even bought a three-lb. bag of Brach's discontinued caramel candy corn for the occasion—it's no more stale than we are.
