Taylor Swift's 1989 cut "Welcome to New York" has been featured prominently in NBC's promo leading up to the NFL's Sunday Night Football. Coincidence? Of course not. The Chiefs are heading to Swift's backyard to play the New York Jets. Will the singer-songwriter-businesswoman extraordinaire be in attendance to cheer on Travis Kelce—and dominate headlines?
Reports this week would seem to confirm that rumor. And with the huge sync for Tay and spot for NBC, combined with anticipation for the 10/27 release of 1989 (Taylor's Version), there's little doubt La Swift is enjoying the opportunity to leverage the highest-rated weekly broadcast while rooting on new beau Kelce.
As we've come to expect with all things Swift, major ratings, viewership and headlines are likely in store for Sunday night.
