TOP 50: ROD'S BIGGEST WAVE YET

With Nostalgia, Alamo’s Rod Wave earns a third consecutive #1 bow on the HITS Top 50. The soulful rapper’s fifth album generated 136k, making Nostalgia the biggest opening of his career. The set notched around 185m first-week streams. Wave becomes the third hip-hop artist to debut at #1 this year, following Lil Uzi Vert and Cactus Jack/Epic’s Travis Scott.

Last week’s chart-topper, Olivia Rodrigo's GUTS, moves to #2. The Geffen phenom’s sophomore set moves 129k units in its second week.

Warner maverick Zach Bryan, who just surprised fans with a new five-song EP, holds at #3 with his self-titled LP, which adds another 79k to its total. Bryan’s 2022 breakthrough, American Heartbreak, remains at #14.

Other noteworthy debuts include Stem’s Diddy at #16, RCA’s Sleepy Hallow at #17, Dead Oceans’ Mitski at #19 and Warner Nashville’s Dan + Shay at #33.

Streeting this week are new titles by Kemosabe/RCA’s Doja Cat—who has the #1 track on Spotify’s global Top 50 as of this writing—Galactic/ Republic’s Lil Tecca, Island’s Chappell Roan, Arista’s JP Saxe, Crow Island/Capitol’s Petey, Mercury/Republic’s Stephen Sanchez and Carrie Underwood’s deluxe version of Denim & Rhinestones (Capitol Nashville).
