With the premiere of its Las Vegas extravaganza looming, U2 shot a video for new single "Atomic City" Saturday night (9/16). A Stereogram Insta clip captured the sidewalk spectacle that played out in front of Oscar's Steakhouse.
The band will launch U2:UV Achtung Baby Live at Sphere, a 25-night stand at the new state-of-the art venue, on Friday (9/29). MSG's Sphere, located just east of the Venetian on the Las Vegas Strip, is an 18,600-seat auditorium boasting immersive audio and video capabilities, including a 16K-resolution wraparound interior LED screen, speakers with beam-forming and wave-field-synthesis technologies and 4D physical effects (we have no idea what any of that means but we're told it's some of the most whiz-bang tech on the planet). The venue's exterior, meanwhile, features 580,000 square feet of LED displays.
