STONES ENLIST MACCA, GAGA, ELTON ON DIAMONDS

The Rolling Stones have shared further details about Hackney Diamonds (due 10/20 on Geffen)—including an impressive guest list.

“Bite My Head Off” features Paul McCartney on bass; Stevie Wonder plays keyboards and Lady Gaga sings on “Sweet Sounds of Heaven”; and Elton John tickles the ivories for “Get Close” and “Live by the Sword.” The latter also features late, great Stones drummer Charlie Watts and original bassist Bill Wyman. Watts can be heard drumming on “Mess It Up,” too.

Andrew Watt (Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Pearl Jam), produced the 12-track album, his first time working with the Stones. It was recorded at L.A.'s Henson Recording Studios, London's Metropolis Studios, Sanctuary Studios in Nassau, Bahamas, and New York's Electric Lady Studios and The Hit Factory/Germano Studios.

Mick, Keith, Ronnie and Watt discussed the new set with the New York Times. Therein Jagger says, “I don’t think it’s the last Rolling Stones album. We’ve got almost three-quarters through the next one.”
