WALLEN LEADS PEOPLE'S CHOICE COUNTRY NOMS

Voting has begun for the inaugural People’s Choice Country Awards. Morgan Wallen leads the way with 10 nominations in seven of the 12 categories.

Up for the top award are five men (Blake Shelton, Kane Brown, Luke Combs, Wallen, Zach Bryan), two women (Kelsea Ballerini, Lainey Wilson) and a group (Old Dominion).

Little Big Town will host the ceremony, which will air live on 9/28 on NBC and Peacock from the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville.

The awards are an example of collaboration resulting from NBCUniversal’s equity investment in Opry Entertainment Group and Atairos, finalized last year.

Voting runs through 8/25 here. Moreover, votes cast on Turbo Tuesday (8/22) will count twice.
