BAKAR IS BACK "N" BUSINESS
Bakar's 2019 cut "Hell N Back," which received a boost from Pixar's Elemental, is now #1 on Shazam in L.A. The song continues to grow, with Pop and Alternative spins in major markets.
Bakar's 2019 cut "Hell N Back" (Black Butter/Epic), which received a boost from a massive sync in the trailer for Pixar's Elemental, released 6/16, is now #1 on Shazam in L.A. and #17 in the U.S.
The film's legs are contributing to the song's continued life; garnering Pop and Alternative spins in major markets, it resides in the Top 5 Most Played at KROQ and Alt 98.7 and is enjoying Top 15 activity at KIIS-FM.
Although Elemental was deemed a disappointment after its debut weekend, the film has rebounded, approaching a domestic gross of $150m. Word of mouth and positive reviews (93% on Rotten Tomatoes) are driving families to theaters.
Expect "Hell N Back" to generate additional plays as Elemental hits VOD on 8/15.
