Songhay Taylor has joined Primary Wave as estate marketing manager for the James Brown and Prince estates.
Taylor, who reports to PW CMO Adam Lowenberg, will help expand Primary Wave’s estate marketing initiatives, acting as the primary liaison between the Wave and its estate partners. He will also spearhead estate marketing strategy and execution, support brand collaborations and develop music-centric media content.
Prior to joining Primary Wave, Songhay was global marketing manager for Universal Music Group’s Urban Catalog division. He's shouldered marketing and commercial roles for BMG, EMI and Capitol Music Group.
“We are thrilled to have Songhay join the Primary Wave team,” Lowenberg said. “We look forward to the undeniable passion and marketing expertise that he will bring to our artist estates and growing music catalog.”
Christopher Green, meanwhile, has been promoted to content development manager. He is based in New York.
Said PW Chief Content Officer Natalia Nastaskin, “Chris has been an essential part of building Primary Wave’s Content Development department. His ability to navigate our catalog to find compelling stories for stage and screen helps enhance and expand our creative IP footprint.”
