Interscope has named Manny Prado its vice president of marketing and A&R. In this newly created role, Prado will work alongside IGA EVP Nir Seroussi and Jose Cedeño to sign and develop artists for Interscope Miami while working with its existing roster. He'll be based in Interscope’s West Coast headquarters.
“Manny Prado is simply one of the most talented and driven executives working in music,” Seroussi said. “We’re thrilled to have him join the team at Interscope Miami as we continue to build a best-in-class platform for Latin artists.”
A 20-year Latin music vet, Prado has spent the last two decades at Sony Music Entertainment in the U.S. Latin division, most recently as VP of West Coast Operations. During his tenure, he worked with Becky G, Vicente Fernandez, Grupo Frontera, Carin León, Shakira and Nicky Jam, among others. He is an expert in all of Latin music’s sub-genres, including Regional Mexican, Urban, Pop and Tropical.
“To be reunited with Nir at Interscope is really a full circle moment for me,” Prado said. “I’m looking forward to working alongside Nir and the team at Interscope to continue to build upon their already excellent track record.”
Interscope Miami has delivered a string of hits since its 2019 inception. Last month, IGA signed Karol G, who's done nothing but bolster the label's ongoing success. We, on the other hand, continue to sink into obscurity.
