TAY'S LATEST #1:
LIKE A VERSION

Republic’s Taylor Swift takes control of the HITS Top 50 once again, this time with an enormous bow for Speak Now (Taylor’s Version). The re-recording of her Grammy-winning 2010 country album enters at #1 with 712k, the biggest opening of the year and the biggest debut since her Midnights premiered last October with a mind-blowing 1.6m units.

Nearly 500k of the total comes from pure sales, including multiple vinyl, CD and cassette iterations.

Speak Now (TV) opens with 275m first-week streams—fans were clearly eager to ferret out any song changes and immerse themselves in six new tracks “from the vault.”

Tay lands four titles in the Top 10—the most ever for a female artist, solo artist or any living artist in the modern chart era (1991-present). Midnights is at #4, Lover holds at #7 and folklore rises to #10.

Morgan Wallen scores another week above 100k with One Thing at a Time (Big Loud/Mercury/Republic), at #2, giving House Lipman six albums in the Top 10—Dangerous: The Double Album is #6.

Other top entries come from EMPIRE’s LUCKI at #13, Sony Latin’s Rauw Alejandro at #29 and Columbia’s Dominic Fike at #31.

Streeting this week are new projects by OTF/EMPIRE’s King Von, Columbia’s Lil Tjay, Island’s Lauren Spencer Smith and Def Jam’s Dave East.

In weather news, it’s perilously hot, so be sure to hydrate. We’re using vodka. See the full Top 50 here.
