With their fourth set, Dead Club City (RCA), Nothing But Thieves enjoy a career best, beating their previous high of #2 with 2017’s Broken Machine.
Elsewhere, Messy, the full-length debut by EMI act Olivia Dean, opens at #4. Lil Uzi Vert’s Pink Tape (Mercury/UMR) is #7. And Fontaines D.C. frontman Grain Chatten lands at #10 with his debut solo album, Chaos for the Fly (Partisan).
Following the arrival of her new single, “vampire” (Geffen), Olivia Rodrigo’s SOUR rises 16 places to #16. “vampire” is the highest new entry on the Official Singles Chart, at #2.
Speaking of singles, despite strong competition from “vampire,” Dave & Central Cee's “Sprinter” (Live Yours/Neighbourhood) remains on top. The track tallied over 8m streams this week.
Taylor Swift’s “Cruel Summer” (EMI) ascends to the Top 10 for the first time today, rising six places to #6. “(It Goes Like) Nanana” (XL) by DJ Peggy Gou is up two to #7, while the self-released “Pakistan” by D-Block Europe and Clavish lands straight in at #10.
