Primary Wave Music is celebrating Black Music Month with its newly revamped series "Wavemakers in Music" (formerly known as "Primary Wave Industry Hour").
Now in its second season, the series commences with Black Music Action Coalition co-founder/co-Chair Willie "Prophet" Stiggers and Congressman Jamaal Bowman discussing the RAP Act bill. Introduced in July 2022, it would limit the use of song lyrics as evidence in federal criminal proceedings.
Stiggers and Bowman also look back on BMAC's work over the last year, Bowman's journey to becoming U.S. representative for New York’s 16th congressional district and more.
