Imperial and Republic Records are expanding their alliance with South Korea’s JYP Entertainment to further promote its K-pop artists across the globe. Monte Lipman says, “The potential is limitless.”
The three labels will collaborate on the entire JYP roster, including worldwide distribution of artists and catalog, A&R, marketing and business development. They've already worked together on efforts by JYP artists TWICE, Stray Kids (pictured) and ITZY and will continue to do so with NMIXX, Xdinary Heroes and others. This is the second time the three parties have extended the relationship.
Said JYP Entertainment CEO Jimmy Jeong, "It's been a continuous journey of astonishing achievements through the strengthening of mutual trust as loyal partners. The expansion of this partnership between these leading music companies will sculpt the next vision of K-pop, opening a new chapter together."
Republic CEO Lipman added, “This partnership was born out of mutual respect and admiration. We recognize the incredible opportunity to be at the forefront of the next K-pop explosion.”
