Miley Cyrus is the latest artist to put the kibosh on touring. Despite the wild success of her single "Flowers" (Columbia), performing it on the road apparently isn't something she's interested in for the time being.
Cyrus issued a statement via Instagram Wednesday (5/24) explaining her decision to stay put while assuring her fans how much they are loved. She wrote, in part, "Performing for YOU has been some of the best days of my life & we will continue this journey together as we have for the last almost two decades. This has nothing to do with a lack of appreciation for the fans & everything to do with I simply don’t want to get ready in a locker room. Which is the reality of life on the road.
"These looks I’ve been turnin’ don’t travel well. The archival looks don’t fold. I just don’t want to sleep on a moving bus. It isn’t what’s best for me right NOW."
Cyrus added that she could change her mind in the future but wants to continue her "endless summer vacation" for now. As for us, we just want a vacation, period. Read Cyrus' full statement below.
