On 5/24 The Mechanical Licensing Collective will observe AAPI Month with a roundtable on Asians and Pacific Islanders in the music business.
Moderated by Amy Lui, music tech and industry studies instructor at Francis Polytechnic High School in Sun Valley, California, and a contributor to the Asian American Collective—"a collective of dope Asians in music, media, entertainment and creative spaces"—the virtual event will dive into the diverse experiences of music creators and industry professionals and examine how their cultural backgrounds have influenced their work.
Featured speakers include singer-songwriters Alana Rich, Casper Sun, Chloe Duvall, Dondi Iannucci and Faith Rivera, creative consultant and AAC co-founder Grace Lee, Emmy-winning music producer, songwriter and publisher Michèle Vice-Maslin and Soy Kim, an authority on Korean culture and Spotify creator-product-marketing/content-promotion executive.
The MLC's AAPI Month roundtable will begin at 3pm ET/12pm PT. To register, click here.
