WALLEN HALTS U.S. TOUR DUE TO VOCAL-CORD INJURY

Chart-topper Morgan Wallen has announced that he will be taking a six-week hiatus due to physician-mandated vocal rest. He vowed to reschedule missed dates in an Instagram video.

The Big Loud/Mercury/Republic superstar had just returned to his U.S. tour following a 10-day break due to a vocal-cord injury. After Wallen performed three more shows, doctors advised further rest to prevent permanent damage.

The pause will affect his ACM Awards commitments, including Wednesday night's Lifting Lives benefit concert (5/10) and the main event Thursday (5/11). The other dates on Wallen's itinerary that will be rescheduled include multiple stadiums shows in East Rutherford, New Jersey, and Pittsburgh, as well as festival stops at the Gulf Coast Jam and Carolina Country Music Fest.

No official date has been set for Wallen's return to his 2023 U.S. tour. Watch his announcement below.
