Mom+Pop Music has signed underscores, whose first release, "Cops and robbers," arrives after a year of writing music in Wallsocket, Mich.
The song ushers in her "Wallsocket era," which began with a trailer posted to social media a week ago. "'Cops and robbers' is one of the first ideas I wrote when I was staying in Wallsocket,” she said. “I’ve never really allowed myself to write from the perspective of characters too much in my previous work—it was really fun.”
Underscores, who has amassed 42m global streams, sold out her 2022 debut headlining tour and has played Lollapalooza and Electric Forest.
NOTE: Per Reddit user ragthefirst, Wallsocket, Michigan, may be more a state of mind than an actual place.
