Alternative mainstay Fall Out Boy has fans crying tears of joy over the limited-edition release of the Crush-repped act’s latest album, So Much (for) Stardust, on “crynyl”—vinyl LPs containing the band's actual tears.
The first-of-its-kind release was launched with 50 double-sided LPs packaged in a gatefold box encompassing a fully functional tissue dispenser. It's a pretty creative bit of merch in these vinyl-loving times, not to mention a lachrymose wink at the quartet's "emo" status.
Fall Out Boy will embark on the So Much for (Tour) Dust 6/21 in their hometown of Chicago with a kickoff performance at the Windy City’s famed Wrigley Field. For full tour details, visit falloutboy.com.
Not to be outdone, the HITS staff plans to release a limited run of 8-track “fartridges” imbued with flatulence mined from our office chairs.
