Elliot Grainge and Sofia Richie exchanged wedding vows at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes in the South of France over the weekend. As you know, the groom is the founder of 10K Projects and scion of UMG topper Sir Lucian Grainge. The bride is the youngest child of Lionel Richie. They received a small measure of press attention leading up to the wedding.
A slew of other famous faces also attended, including Nicole Richie (the bride's sister), Good Charlotte's Benji and Joel Madden (Nicole's husband), Cameron Diaz (Benji's wife) and Paris Hilton (Nicole's former co-star in The Simple Life). Got all that?
In a recent L.A. Times profile, Elliot suggested the pain he's shared with his father over the years—Elliot's mother died giving birth to him in 2007—made them closer. “I can tell you that we have a very unique relationship," said Sir Lucian. "Considering what we’ve been through together personally, in some ways he’s like the twin brother I never had.”
Elliot expresses a fiercely independent perspective in the Times piece, contrasting 10K with the majors. The young exec has had a number of notable successes, including rap breakout Ice Spice and such big-streaming acts as Trippie Redd, Internet Money and iann dior.
As for Elliot's relationship with Sofia, the two went public with their romance in April 2021. A year later, they were engaged. “I really try and keep the profile as low as possible,” Elliot reflected. "My happy place is with my girl on the couch bingeing a TV series where we argue about which episode we’re on."
