MOM + POP WELCOMES GOTH BABE TO THE FAMILY

Mom + Pop Music has announced the signing of singer-songwriter Goth Babe (real name Griff Washburn) with the release of his first single on the imprint, “Alone in the Mountains.” The arrival of the track, which marks his first release of 2023, coincides with the launch of his headlining North American LOLA Tour, beginning in Aspen on Saturday (4/22).

“We welcome Griff to Mom + Pop as we deeply value his aesthetic and DIY nature,” said label founder/co-owner Michael Goldstone. “Our vision for Mom + Pop is a natural fit as a partner for Griff’s. He's creating art that's both purposeful and transformative with unwavering commitment. We instantly gravitated toward working with someone so dedicated and talented.”

Added label co-owner Thaddeus Rudd, ”We’ve been fans for a long while and respect what Goth Babe has built on his own. Griff’s celebration of the natural world along with his environmental activism informs his art and music. He's built a unique culture around the Goth Babe project.”

The LOLA Tour, named after Goth Babe’s home (a 38-foot off-grid sailboat) has already sold out several storied venues, including Red Rocks in Morrison, Colorado, Stubbs in Austin and Pier 17 in New York. The artist will donate $1 of every ticket to Protect Our Winters, an organization dedicated to climate-change initiatives.

Goth Babe will be joined by Flipturn, Yoke Lore and Husbands on various dates. For the full LOLA Tour schedule, click here. Listen to "Alone in the Mountains" below. Interestingly enough, "Alone in the Mountains" sounds like the theme song to our lives.
