Morgan Wallen scores another huge total in his sophomore frame as One Thing at a Time (Big Loud/Mercury/Republic) retains the #1 spot on the HITS Top 50 following a humongous debut on last week’s chart. The album racks up another 247k this time out, handily besting the week’s top debuts, TWICE’s Ready To Be (JYP/Imperial/Republic), which lands at #2 with 151k+, and Miley Cyrus’ Endless Summer Vacation, which puts 117k+ on the board, double the first-week total of her last album. With single "Flowers" still blooming mightily, Miley brings her YTD total to nearly 380k (good for a #8 entry on the HITS YTD chart).
With this week's sum, Wallen brings his YTD total to 1.12m+, surpassing fellow giant SZA, whose current number is just over 1.1m.
Speaking of SZA, her relentless SOS (TDE/RCA) adds 75k+ to its substantial total, good for #4. Karol G, who bowed at #3 last week, remains in the Top 5 with 52k+ for her hot UMLE set MAÑANA SERÁ BONITO.
Republic has no fewer than six titles in the Top 10, thanks to Morgan’s Thing, The Weeknd’s The Highlights (#6), Taylor Swift's Midnights (#7), Wallen's prior monster, Dangerous: The Double Album (#8) and Metro Boomin’s Heroes & Villains (#9). During the 10 weeks of 2023, House Lipman’s current marketshare has jumped to an eye-popping 11.9%. The label has four of the Top 5 and six of the Top 10 on the YTD chart.
