Michelle Teh has been promoted to SVP at UMG’s Global Classics & Jazz. She’ll report to Dickon Stainer, president/CEO of Global Classics & Jazz, from the London offices. Teh will oversee a roster that includes Norah Jones, Jon Batiste, Lang Lang, Gregory Porter and Ludovico Einaudi.

“Michelle has a brilliant track record of attracting diverse audience sectors to different types of music, and her experience will help us build on our successes so far,” said Stainer, adding, "I'm thrilled to have such an experienced, forward-thinking and revered executive on board, who can further drive the prosperity of our world-renowned and upcoming artists.”

With more than 20 years of industry know-how, Teh has run international marketing campaigns at UMG for artists like Andrea Bocelli, Ólafur Arnalds and Alice Sara Ott. Prior to landing the SVP role, she was the Global Priorities VP, in which capacity she helmed campaigns for Billie Eilish, Sam Smith and The Weeknd. During her tenure, she built a close relationship with Disney Music Group and helped bring the Grammy-winning soundtrack to Encanto to life. Teh later worked on the successful launch of ABBA's Voyage. Speaking of, she’d like us to voyage far, far away from her.
