SOUNDEXCHANGE BRINGS THE BOOM TO SXSW

SoundExchange is saddling up and heading to Austin for SXSW, where President/CEO Michael Huppe and singer-songwriter-producer JVKE will host a panel called “The Creator Boom: How the Industry Can Transform,” to be presented at the Austin Convention Center Thursday (3/16) at 2:30pm CT.

With 60k+ tracks uploaded to Spotify alone every day, the music industry is experiencing a historic creator boom. Much of the content, SoundExchange says, is coming from “bedroom creators” powered by the rise of, among other things, digital music-creation tools and DIY distribution services.

Huppe and JVKE will discuss this new creator paradigm and how both creators and the industry are transforming themselves to keep up. Check out the flier below while we go back to our own bedrooms and... take a nap.
