KNIGHT LINES: UMG RULER TALKS CATALOG SALES

During UMG's Q4 earnings call on 3/2, Chairman/CEO Sir Lucian Grainge offered his stance on the hot catalog-acquisition market, noting, "We see almost everything," but the company chooses to pass on most of it as the majority of music-rights investment deals don't meet UMG's standards, according to Grainge.

Grainge also reiterated the need for a new streaming model, citing a partnership with Deezer.
