MORGAN & SPOTIFY GO BACK TO SCHOOL

Hours before dropping One Thing at a Time (Big Loud/Mercury/Republic)—which could be the biggest record of 2023—Morgan Wallen surprised students at Knoxville's Gibbs High School, his alma mater.

Wallen showed up Thursday (3/2) morning and invited the senior class to a special performance on the school's baseball field. The Spotify-sponsored event included a photo booth that turned students' photos into baseball cards, customized Morgan Wallen postcards and some of Wallen’s favorite concessions.

One Thing at a Time serves as the follow-up to 2021's Dangerous: The Double Album, which has racked up more than 7m units YTD. One Thing is projected to be massive and currently sits at #1 at both Spotify and Apple Music.

Seen in the top photo noticeably relieved nobody from HITS made the trip are (l-r) Spotify's Country & Folk, Artist Partnership Lead Jackie Augustus, Head of Artist Partnerships Mary Catherine Kinney, Artist & Label Partnerships Manager Miller Guth, Wallen, Head of Artist and Label Partnership Brittany Schaffer, Associate Manager, Artist & Label Partnerships Meagan Bennington and Label Partnership Lead Gemma McInturff.

Below, Wallen and the Spotify team are pictured warning students to avoid us at all costs.
