The Weeknd has become the first artist on Spotify to hit 100m monthly listeners.
Beginning with 2013's Kiss Land, The Weekend has released five studio albums in the last 10 years, most recently 2022's Dawn FM (XO/Republic). His most commercially successful project, 2015's Beauty Behind the Madness, was certified sextuple platinum in December. The dapper Canadian's "Earned It (Fifty Shades of Grey)" did indeed earn it when the RIAA deemed it diamond earlier this month.
The Weeknd has sold more than 75m albums worldwide, making him one of the bestselling artists of all time. For all intents and purposes, he is a bona fide starboy.
